Edited by: Rez Lo on 10/10/2005 03:18:43 I also haven't got it and can't track my order. This has been a huge problem for many of us and I would like to know what is being done to correct the problem. I have written customer support about this and I would advise everyone who is experiencing this difficulty do the same. The system also does not recognize my email even though i have recieved the email confirmation. Incredibly frustrating.

Hasn't arrived in Canada yet either. Kind of an expensive shipping charge for such downright sluggish delivery.

I'm glad I'm not alone in my wait. I wonder if any Canadians have received there copy. I have a few complaints about the service so far. It wasn't until I read a post in the forum that I understood why I couldn't track my order. I wrote customer support directly and the only response i got was that my email was being forwarded to someone else. I think we should have got an email stating that we would not be able to track our orders! or at least a form response from customer support when they were contacted. Who do we contact if we don't receive our orders?? I'm getting concerned I pre-ordered this mag and according to some posters they ordered after the 1st and have received their mags. If you want more subsribers you will have to address this issue. At least provide us with a place to ask questions about our order.
Might I suggest that you ship those orders that will take longer first. This will help mitigate against long delays. Also please don't ask for feedback until the mags have been received. It drives those who haven't got it insane to read the spoilers and gloating from those who have got it. I recognize that this is the first issue so I guess a few logistical problems are to be expected. I will order the next issue but if these problems are not addressed then I will not subscribe or order again.

Ok now that I've received (took longer then I was expecting but it did arrive) and read the magazine a couple of times I am ready to provide some feedback. As far as the content goes I thought the fiction, HAC article, player advertisements, and Titan/Carrier sections were well done. I will definitely order #2 because the content by and large is what I'm looking for in an Eve mag. I do have a few suggestions for improvements. I would have preferred to see a couple of setup examples for the HAC's (I realize there is a lot of variety here but a couple examples of either typical or unorthodox setups would have made for better read and would have also lead to some interesting forum discussions) perhaps for future articles this can be incorporated. I was a little dissappointed Kaaii's article was just a rewrite of "her" original trading 101 post in the marketplace discussion forum. I learned the trade from that post and have since referred countless new players to that forum thread. Bottom line I was hoping for some new material in the mag. and I hope this section in issue 2 will not be a rehash of the second half of that original post since most, if not all, traders (even noob traders) have read it. The Charts and bio info. printed sideways I would like to see changed as well. I hate having to turn my magazine on its side (unless there's a quafe queen centerfold or something).
Cover: I agree with the poster who pointed out that the written material on the cover detracts from the beautiful artwork. Since it is not a retail mag. the script there is not necessary. On p66 the covers without the typeface look far more more appealing and worthy of collecting.
Overall a great first effort. A few little tweaks here and there are all that are required to make it even better. Hopefully the next issue will be longer as well. I look to forward to reading it!
P.S. I have full confidence in Zapatero and crew that the shipping issues will be less of a problem with the next issue.

Just another thought: if you are going to solicit more advertisers perhaps the price of the magazine could be lowered or alternatively keep the price the same but don't have advertisements. I realize there was only one "real" ad in the first issue. I'm just a little concerned that the amount of advertisements will increase with time without any price break to the consumer.

"I'm a bit worried, I preordered mine on September 7th and I still have not recieved it yet. I don't mind waiting, I'm a patient person.. but I would like to know if I should be worried about not getting the magazine yet?
what will happen if I don't get it? when should I start to worry? what would I do if I don't get it by a certain date? I know nothing about shipping internationally, so I'm hoping someone here can help me out."
you might want to email your questions here: [email protected] its the site mentioned in the mag.so maybe you'll get a faster response then waiting on the forums for an answer. It shipped on the 3rd of October and 14 days is about average for an international order. You are not alone, however, it appears as if the ball was seriously dropped here (by who remains a mystery since no one is claiming accountability) and many people are still waiting.

Zapatero and crew:
Just wondering what E-on's policy regarding real life commercial advertising. There was just one real life advertisement in the first issue. Will there be more adds in subsequent editions and if so will the consumer get a break on the price? The way I see it E-on can go one of two directions. Either have only ingame adds and a higher cover price on the issue to compensate, or have more adds but a lower price for the magazine itself.
Just curious as to what the current policy regarding RL advertisements is.
Just to reiterate a comment I made earlier that might have gotten lost in the abyss of shipping problem posts. I hope that in future charts, bio information etc. will be placed at the same angle as the rest of the print. Having to tilt the magazine on a sideways slant is very annoying.
Aside from that keep up the good work. Rez
